What Happens When Your Lease Ends?

Whether you have been driving a RAM 1500 or a Jeep® Grand Cherokee for the last couple of years, your lease might be coming to an end. Don’t worry, this doesn’t mean you have to stop enjoying your current model or that your options are limited to handing in the keys to us. In fact, we’re here to explain all the different avenues here at Champion Chrysler Jeep Dodge RAM.

Before you do anything else, we recommend locating your lease contract about three months prior to your visit. More than likely, you haven’t seen it in quite some time and this document withholds pertinent information, such as the mileage allotment and residual value of the car. Most individuals agree to only drive 12,000 to 15,000 miles per year when they sign their lease. If you think you’ve gone over the limit, don’t freak out. You can compensate by driving less or pay the small per mile charge. If you’re interested in purchasing the vehicle for its depreciated price, look at the residual value on your contract.

On the last day of your lease, drive on over to a car dealership near me. From there, we’ll inspect the vehicle for any major damages and discuss your options. You can simply turn in the keys and walk away, buy the car for its depreciated value, or explore our other models. It doesn’t matter if you want to finance or lease, our team will assist you with the process.

For now, go ahead and enjoy the remainder of your lease! All of our 2018 Dodge models are patiently waiting for your arrival. Our team of professionals at Champion Chrysler Jeep Dodge RAM looks forward to seeing you soon!
